Why Richard Sherman isn’t the Issue

I totally agree with this entire article… and am also wondering exactly what Crabtree was saying.

Yes, I thought the Seahawks would win Sunday’s matchup against my hometown 49ers.  Indeed, I think Richard Sherman is, as he so candidly stated in his conversation with Erin Andrews, the best corner in the league.  And in my opinion, his deflection in the closing seconds, ending San Francisco’s Super Bowl dreams, was as fantastic an effort as one that any other player performed in any other snap of the game.

All that aside, I stand by most of the Bay Area in agreeing that his comments and actions following that play were entirely out of line.  He acted more like the Richard Sherman that was deservedly punched in the face by Trent Williams last year (shown below) than the Sherman who founded his own “Blanket Coverage” foundation, helping serve kids who don’t have “adequate school supplies or clothes,” as it says on the group’s Facebook page (apparently the…
